Sports are a big part of America. They touch almost every aspect of society. Basketball is generally played from September to June. The National Basketball Association (NBA) is the regulatory commission in the United States and Canada.

American Football is professionally played from September to January. The NFL or the National Football League is the governing body for this sport. There is no official Football team for NJ however two New York teams, the New York Giants and the New York Jets play at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in New Jersey.
